For sale is a large antique mid century folk art Americana doll house. This house was built by my great uncle in the 1920's and had been handed down from my mother to me when I was 12.

That was in the late 1960's. My mother added the gold carpet and the window dressing which can all be removed.

The house is a Victorian clapboard home with peaked roof, large wrap around porch and lots of charm. To access the interior of the home, you will lift the roof off which will expose the second floor. Lift the divider out and lift the two floor panels out and the first floor will be accessible. The house was built on a green painted platform that measures 37 1/4" x 26 1/8" x 7/8 thick. The house itself measures 25" in height from the platform to the top of the chimney and 22 1/8" x 18 1/2 in length and width. The second story and attic are white painted clapboard but the first floor and below has a faux grey stone rough like sand paper covering the exterior walls.

The basement or beneath the steps / porch area looks like the faux paper had gotten wet maybe at some point. The front door is off but inside the house, along with some of the cross pieces that go in the windows.

All doors and trim are stained, not painted and are panel doors. All glass is intact so no broken windows. There is also a porcelain outlet with cloth wiring underneath the house in the platform which I would think you would upgrade. Also, where the house meets the platform needs some help. This is still an unbelievable piece and is very impressive to display.

I just need to downsize! Please Note: Most of my items are vintage or pre-owned and may show signs of wear, age and use. As always, I try and show and describe every item honestly and accurately to the best of my knowledge. To ensure safe travels, bubble wrap and packing peanuts are used.
