Some pieces are marked "made in west germany" and others are not marked. The company also made room boxes. The doll house is the rarest item to find. There is also some evidence that there was at least some partnership with Erna Meyer. They probably would have known each other through the Leipzig toy fairs. The items are known to be hand painted in the colorful and nostalgic, patriotic colors of Bavaria and unique among dollhouse, this one is able to be taken apart and stored. Putting it together is a bit of a puzzle- but it's fairly easy to figure out.
I can assist if you run into any issues. But honestly- it's easy! This house is in amazing condition for its age, with only a few of the interior doorknobs missing, which can easily be recreated.
The flowers are all original, and amazing to find. The house has two floors and there are 4 rooms. They are set up like two apartments. When I researched the house, I was able to find a book by Marianne Cieslik and Swantje Kohler called the "Lexicon of Puppenstuben and Puppenhauser"- it's a very hard to find book- and inside it on page 112, there is a photo of the house with the school furniture as well as traditional Bavarian furniture. There are 8 windows with original cotton print curtains. It is a very happy house that is a joy to decorate. Please Note: The dolls and other furniture items seen in the photos are for display purposes and not included in this listing. They will be listed separately.
